the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixty years.”

The cow said, “That’s a kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty years and I’ll give back the other forty.” And God agreed.

On the second day, God created the dog. God said, “Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years.”

The dog said, “That’s too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I’ll give back the other ten.” So God agreed with a sigh.

On the third day God created the monkey. God said, “Entertain people, do monkey tricks, make them laugh. I’ll
give you a twenty year lifespan.”

The monkey said, “How boring, monkey tricks for 20 years? I don’t think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that’s
what I’ll do too, okay?” And God agreed again.

On the fourth day God created man. God said, “Eat, sleep, play. Do nothing, just enjoy, enjoy. I’ll give you twenty
years.”

Man said, “What? Only twenty years? No way! Tell you what, I’ll take my twenty, and the forty cow gave back, and the ten dog gave back and the ten monkey gave back. That makes eighty, okay?”
“Okay,” said God. “You’ve got a deal.”

So this is why for the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, enjoy, and do nothing; For the next forty years we
slave in the sun to support our family; then for next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain our grandchildren and for the last ten years we sit in front of the house and bark at everybody.

On January 26, Republic day my mom was invited as Chief Guest to a school.

It's a school for physically challenged kids.

Few cannot see, few cannot speak , few cannot hear.

One though his age is 40 he acts like 10.

They did Yoga , Aasanas and sang few songs on the eve of Republic Day which can be seen in the below link :

A total of 100 children are in that school.

Why am I saying all this to you....? 

This school is being run from many years by an old couple.

They are running this with the help of their daughter and son-in-law.

Now the man who started is sick and completely bedridden.

They started selling their properties to make this school stand.

They have sold all they could and now they are left with just the school and hostel rooms.

The days are so hard that eating food daily is the greatest thing for them.

The daughter of the old couple is looking after the children, giving bath to them , feeding them and doing all the necessary things.

We celebrate BIRTHDAY , ANNIVERSARY , VALENTINES DAY and so on...... 

ALL I ASK is pick one day among them to help these children.

The magic tap, which appears to float in the sky with an endless supply of water. In actuality, there is a pipe hidden in the stream of water. 

  

I don't know anything else about the picture, but the construction is fascinating and is easy to make, if the pipe is made of transparent Perspex than you would never see it inside the water stream.

Isn't the output queer? A month with whole of eleven days missing. 

This was the time England shifted from Roman Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar, and the king of England ordered those 11 days to be wiped off the face of the month of September of 1752. (What couldn't a King do in those days?!) And yes, the workers worked for 11 days less, but got paid for the entire 30 days. And that's how "Paid Leave" was born. Hail the King!!!

The Truth is, 

September 3, 1752: 

 The difference between the Julian Calendar of 46 B.C. and the Gregorian calendar has grown to 11 days. 

The Gregorian calendar (New Style or N.S) replaced the Julian calendar (Old Style or O.S.) in England and its American colonies, by an act of Parliament.  

Parliament decreed that Wednesday,September 2 will be followed by Thursday, September 14. 

As this change comes to England, bill collectors became confused. 

Rumors spread that employees are losing 11 days' pay, and everybody is losing 11 days of his life. 

The Gregorian Calendar was adopted by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 in most European countries.

 Londoners cried, "Give us our 11 days back!" and people rioted in the streets to protest the calendar change. 

Benjamin Franklin wrote "It is pleasant for an old man to be able to go to bed on September 2, and 

 not have to get up until September 14."

SOME MORE FACTS

The last day of the year used to be March 24th. The first day of the new year used to be March 25th. 24th March 1683 was followed by Lady Day 25th March 1684. 31st December 1684 was followed by 1st January 1684, the same year. The new year did not come in on January 1st.  24th March 1684 was followed by 25th March 1685. A nice piece of evidence for this can be found in the floor of Salisbury cathedral. There is a memorial stone here in the north choir aisle outside the Morning Chapel. 

 The inscription reads:

H S E The body of Tho[mas]

the sonn of Tho. Lambert gent.

who was borne May ye 13 An[no] Do[mini] 1683

& dyed Feb. 19 the same year.

This states that a child called Thomas was born on May 14th 1683 and died on February 19th 1683.  This is not incorrect as at this time the year did not change to 1684 until March 25th. February came after May in the year 1683. (HSE stands for the latin hic sepultus est which translates as here is buried.)This was so up to when 24th March 1750 was followed by 25th March 1751. Parliament changed things, including decreeing that Wednesday 2nd September 1752 be followed by Thursday 14th September 1752; skipping 11 days. This same act of parliament decreed that 31st December 1751 be followed by 1st January 1752. 

To this day we still change the year on January 1st.

Taxes used to be paid on the first day of the year. This used to be March 25th. The city of London bankers were not going to pay their 1752 taxes early. When March 25th 1753 came they still regarded this as 11 days early 

so they eventually paid on April 5th 1753. When the year 1800 came there was no leap day as 1800 does not divide by 400; the rule for centuries. 

The bankers again claimed back this missing day by not paying until a day later, namely April 6th. The tax year still remains thus, starting on April 6th every year. The bankers did not claim the extra day for the year 1900, another year which was not a leap year. The year 2000 was a leap year so no problem here.

Thus there was no January or February in 1751, nor was there much of March. The year 1751 started on March 25th and ended on December 31st. Thus the year 1751 in England only had 282 days (7+30+31+30+31+31+30+31+30+31). 1752 started on January 1st, there was a 29th February and 11 days missed out, namely September 3rd to September 13th inclusive. Thus 1752 in the UK had only 355 days (31+29+31+30+31+30+31+31+19+31+30+31).

How to determine if a mirror is 2 way or not (Not a Joke!)?
Not to scare you, but to make sure that you aware. Many of the Hotels and Textile showrooms cheat the
customers this way & watch privately.

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR? 
When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc.,
How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or
actually a 2-way mirror i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them. There have been many cases of people
installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms.
It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it.
So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of
mirror we are looking at?

CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST: 
Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror. 

However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! (There is someone seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test."
It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do.

This is a really good thing to do.

The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass.
Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind!

The village came to be known as Begumpet. 3) Khairatabad: The jagir granted to Khairunnisa Begum daughrer of Ibrahim Qutub Shah,  came to be known as Khairatabad. 4) Begum Bazar: Land gifted by Humda Begum ( the wife of Nizam Ali Khan Nizamul Mulk) to the merchants of Hyderabad for trade and commerce,  finally developed as Begum Bazar. 5) Sultan Bazar: After 1933, the Residency bazar was renamed Sultan Bazar,  when these areas were returned to the Nizam, by the British (Residency). 6) Afzal Gunj: The V Nizam (Afzalud Dawlah) gifted land to the grain merchants for trade and commerce.  The place was named Afzal Gunj. 7) Secunderabad: Named after Sikander jha (1806) (III Nizam).  The Village where British troops were stationed. 8) Ma Saheba Ka Talab: Hayat Bakshi Begum, wife of Quli Qutub Shah VI - was called Ma Saheba.  The tank constructed by her to irrigate lands of Mallepally village, was called Masaheba ka Talab.  Finally it was called Masab Tank. 9) Kadve Saheb Ki Galli (lane): After a person, who was always angry-faced and talked ill of others.  This lane is in the old city. 10) Himayat Nagar: New locality named after Himayat Ali Khan - Azam Jha - eldest son of VII Nizam - Osman Ali Khan ( in 1933).  His name was Himayat Ali Khan. 11) Hyderguda: New locality named after Hyder Ali, who was 1st Talukhdar (District Collector) and  owned lands in the village formerly the Jagir of Vaheed Unnisa Begum, wife of Nizam. The locality is called after him, as Hyderguda. 12) Basheer Bagh: The garden of Sir Asman Jha, Basirud-dulah - a Paigah Noble, who had a palace at the Garden. 13) Somajiguda: A revenue department employee, named Sonaji, who owned lands and resided in this village.  Sonaji became Somaji and the hamlet came to be called 'Somajiguda' . (Guda is from Godem a hamlet). 14) Malakpet: Named after Malik Yakoob, a servant of Abdulah Qutub Shah Golconda King where he resided had a market, hence the name Malakpet. 15) Saidabad: A Jagir village of Sayed Meer Momin, Dewan of Golconda (1591). 16) Abid Shop: A Valet and steward of Nizam (VI) Mahboob Ali Khan. This man had his first shop here. 17) Saroornagar: Named after Sarwari Afzal Bai, mistress of Arasthu Jha. Dewan of Hyderabad,  who granted a Jagir,and constructed a palace and Garden for her. 18) Debirpura: The village named after Abdul Samad with the titles; Dabir-ul Mulk, a noble man. 19) Noor Khan Bazar: A market developed by Noor Khan, who came from Lucknow, during the time of the II Nizam. 20) A.C.Guards: A locality to the West of Lakdi-ka-pul.  The barracks of Abyssinian Cavalry Guards of Raja of Wanaparthy - (1910)  (Abyssinia is the old name of Ethiopia, an East African country).
